Are Yama's Herbs safe?
Absolutely. In fact, more than one billion people, a quarter of the world's population, treat their ailments with traditional herbal medicine. Originally, the Chinese herbalist introduced herbal medicine to Japan; and then the Japanese refined and reworked the original Chinese formulae over the course of a thousand years. The herbs are then processed and formulated by Kanpo doctors who have studied both modern scientific medicine and traditional herbal medicine, such as Yoshihiro Yamaguchi. Yama's Herbs are safe, natural and beneficial, with next to no side effects. However, if allergic reactions do occur; they are rare, and will cause no lasting damage if treatment is stopped as soon as symptoms appear.

Who can take Yama's Herbs?
Everyone can take herbs for natural healing. In contrast to aspirin, for instance, where only certain demographics can take it, herbal medicine crosses most demographics, and age and dietary restrictions.
When and How should I take herbs?
Traditionally, herbs combinations were digested in a tea formula that would simmer for at least 45 minutes before consumption: This method was the most effective in primitive times. Today, more scientific methods of preparation are available. Due to our busy and bustling lives, the intake methods have been refined and now the most preferred consumption are herbs minimized to a finely diced powder and made into tea for immediate intake or protected in capsules to be swallowed with liquids.
What dosage should I take?
Specifically for Yama's Herbs, our instructions for herb dosage and consumption is simple: 3, 3, 3. For herb tea formulae that means 3 teaspoons, 3 times a day. For herb tea capsules, 3 capsules, 3 times a day.
Can I take herbs with prescription medications?
Yama's Herbs are designed with the objective of correcting the malfunctioning bodily process that causes symptoms. Our herbs are recommended to be taken along side any other prescription medication you may be taking. They are generally considered gentler and more natural to the body, thus almost no side effects, though their effects may not be immediately apparent.
Again, Yoshihiro Yamaguchi is an expert in Chinese and Japanese herbal medicine. You are welcome to contact Yamaguchi and share what pharmaceutical drugs you are taking, and he will be able to tell you if there are any potential conflicts with herbal treatments you are interested in purchasing.
Can I take herbs while pregnant or nursing?
Yes. Yama's Herbs formulae are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Generally, formulae containing certain herbs such as rhubarb, cardamoms, and persica should usually be avoided during pregnancy, and formulae containing rhubarb, senna, or aloe should usually be avoided during breastfeeding. Consult Yoshihiro Yamaguchi with any specific questions you may have.
Can I take herbs during menstruation?
Yes. Although, be mindful that there are herbs formulae that may increase the quantity and duration of bleeding during menstruation, so we advise sticking to Yama's Herbs that honor a woman's menstrual cycle. In fact Yama's Herbs has a special herb-combination specifically designed for menstrual aches and pains.
Can I take herbs when I have a cold or flu?
Absolutely. In fact, it is recommended. Symptoms akin to colds and flus are our body's way of getting of kilter. Herbal medicine is based on the concepts of Yin and Yang, so it aims to understand and treat the many ways in which the fundamental balance and harmony between the two may be undermined and the ways in which a person's Qi or vitality may be depleted or blocked.
Can I take several herbal formulae at the same time?
In general, it is safe to take several herb-combination formulae. However, Yama's Herbs suggests that you stay informed on what you are consuming. That is, check the primary ingredients of the two different herb medicines to see if they overlap in ingredients and function. If this is the case, we recommend lowering your dosage appropriately. As with any herb or remedy, it's always a good idea to listen to what your body is telling you. If taking more than one herbal formula is causing you discomfort, you should reduce the dosage or discontinue it completely.
Is it safe to order from you online?

Can I order by phone?
Ordering online is still the fastest and most accurate way to place your order. However, as a courtesy to our customers who prefer to place orders over the phone instead of online, you may now order via our number during normal business hours. What are your Shipping Costs?
Shipping is $6.99 per order for U.S. and Canada orders under 3 bottles, and FREE for orders over 4 bottles. Please see Shipping Costs for more information. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
When are orders shipped?
Over 90% of our orders are shipped within 24 hours of the time the order is placed. This means that most orders are received by the customer within 3-7 days from the time of order, largely depending on the speed of the US Post Office.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes we do accept orders from most countries. Email us to get exact shipping costs: firstname.lastname@example.org.
When will my order be delivered?
The vast majority of our orders are received by the customer within 3-5 days of the shipping date, or within 1 week of the initial order. Please be patient if your order is not one of them.
When your order ships, we send a confirmation email to the email address that you registered with at the time of order (please note that some spam blockers may block our email before you ever see it - you must designate email@example.com as a permitted sender).
Once an order has shipped, we are powerless to control the speed of delivery at the US Postal Service. While we can look up USPS Priority Mail "tracking codes", these codes are used primarily to record when an article has been delivered, and the USPS does not typically provide detailed tracking information in-transit.
Why doesn't my tracking code have any information?
The tracking codes used by the US Postal Service at www.usps.com are different than tracking codes used by FedEx or UPS.
USPS tracking codes are used to track and verify items at the delivery point, or when items are nearing their delivery destination. USPS does NOT usually scan items when they are shipped or enroute.
Therefore, online look-ups of your tracking code will generally not produce any information until several days after an item has been shipped. These codes are most often used to verify deliver dates and provide information on any delivery address problems at the destination.
Can you send my order via Express Mail?
Sorry, but at the present time, all orders are sent via USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail.
We do not have FedEx or Express Mail as a delivery option.
Do you ship to APO/FPO Addresses?
Yes, we do ship to APO/FPO addresses at standard shipping rates. Please be sure to specify the full military address per USPS and APO/FPO regulations.
Can I order your products wholesale?

Can you mail me a catalog?
We have a catalog data if you want to get we’ll send to your email, however we do not currently mail out print catalogs.

What is your Return Policy?
You may return most new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by Yama’s Herbs within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. we'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Items should be returned in their original product packaging.
