A Letter from Yoshihiro Yamaguchi…

When Yoshihiro Yamaguchi first opened his practice in New York City over 37 years ago, never did he dream of such a blossoming career in the United States; a goal that ultimately came to fruition through years of dedication and passionate focus in the art and science of acupuncture, Kampo medicine and herbology. Today, Yoshihiro Yamaguchi could very well be considered one of the top acupuncturists in his now hometown of New York City; he's definitely one of the first acupuncture specialists that pop up in a search engine. And yet, little did he know that he would influence the lives of so many New Yorkers and passerby's throughout the years.

Looking back on his career, what has he learned most? The power of natural healing still rings as true today as it ever did. Medicine began with the earth, plants, the seasons and Mother Nature's common sense. In ancient cultures, village medicine men served as the doctors of the community, passing on medical knowledge to the apprentices that followed them. Today, some believe natural medicine may be considered a "lost art," but to Yoshihiro Yamaguchi this does not mean that it has lost efficacy over time. In fact, it is only regaining validity in our culture today.

Natural healing begins and ends in a balance between nature and patience to heal. For Yoshihiro Yamaguchi and his daily patients, it is also a relationship of attentive listening, paying close attention to each individual's emotional and physical stresses, and implementing alternative medicines and a holistic approach through the practice. The clinic has been a rewarding vehicle towards sharing Yoshihiro Yamaguchi's knowledge about the boundless possibilities of herbal medicines to his clients. Through the concern for his patients' ailments and his finely acquired wisdom in the Oriental healing arts, he is now ready to share his insight and specialties to others near and far; thus, the launch of www.yamasherbs.com .

Mother Nature shares with us the gifts of her fruits and labor, and as a result, we are better equipped using her safe, natural and beneficial remedies and systems of healing. Ultimately, through the use of organic herbs, we hope to strike a balance towards a rejuvenated body, mind, and spirit. We welcome you to join us on this quest!

Best regards,

Yoshihiro Yamaguchi, L.Ac.
